遊戲人間

前些日子有點累，對人與人的關係有點失望，總是在想要讀一些政治的書，好充實一下這方面的知識，在書店也在找不同版本的《孫子兵法》。不過，有前輩提醒我說，不用如此，只要做回自己就行了。於是，我也就樂得讀自己愛看的書。

看了《愛麗絲夢遊仙境》的原著《Alice's Adventures in Wonderland》，書中樂此不疲的文字遊戲與人生荒誕的主旨很是吸引。小時候看的是簡化的中文版，只留有故事大綱，失去了細節與人物對話的趣味。現在看原著，樂不可滋。給你說一個書中的笑話，是這樣的：愛麗絲問龜每天上課多久（And how many hours a day did you do lessons?），龜回答說：第一天上十小時，第二天上課時間減少一小時，逐日減少。愛麗絲聽了回答：那豈不是到了第十一天便可放假？一旁的獅鷲說：是啊！Lessen的意思本該如是。（'That's the reason they're called lessons,' the Gryphon remarked: 'because they lessen from day to day.'）將Lesson與Lessen如此偷玩，多高妙！看來沒什麼意思，卻讓我們以新鮮角度看這兩個見慣不怪的字。

還有更多很有意思又令人拍案叫絕的對話。譬如這個愛麗絲與貓的對話：

"Would you tell me, please, which way I ought to go from here?"

"That depends a good deal on where you want to get to," said the Cat.

"I don't much care where -- " said Alice.

"Then it doesn't matter which way you go," said the Cat.

"--so long as I get somewhere," Alice added as an explanation.

你要去哪裏呢？也許我們不知道面前的方向，可是我們總會到達某處，就讓時間帶領我們去體驗生活種種美麗與哀愁。

愛麗絲在這荒誕奇境初次接觸自己身體不住變化，過程中她思考，自己經歷了這些變異，我還是我嗎？很多難解的謎語，令她知道人生不是所有問題都伴隨答案。這本書不只是給小孩的，Virginia Woolf都說：「The two Alices are not books for children; they are the only books in which we become children.」讓我們重拾童真，別讓自我給這怪異的世界所吞逝。
