Sometimes life is so tough that words fail to comfort us. All those positive and encouraging sayings only inflict more pain on us. But a good song never fails to touch our heart and heal our pain. Today I wish to share some of the songs that have wiped tears for all of the broken hearts and lonely souls.

Pink Martini is an oldie jazz band from Oregon, the USA. The song is inspired by an advertisement of the Hunt's Ketchup in a 1964 issue of Life Magazine. I love the lyrics which describes sadness as if "the sun has left and forgotten me / It's dark, and I cannot see. / I'm gonna drown / in the sea of deep confusion."
And it's beautiful when you think of your tears becoming dews, sparking under the morning moon:
If you start to cry, look up to the sky
Something's coming up ahead
To turn your tears to dew instead.

Again, another number by Pink Martini and it describes a series of sad scenes, beautiful but sad scenes:

Yet, despite all these the songwriter says that at least she has her Clementine. I read somewhere that Clementine is her little nephew or cousin. Anyways, who will be your Clementine - someone's mere presence can bring sunshine into your life?

Yes, there're a lot of things we don't understand. We don't know if our wishes can come true if we wish upon a morning star. We don't know if all the sayings about rainbows and dreams and hopes are merely illusions. But we're hopeful that if we keep on believing, someday - we don't know when - we will find the rainbow connections. :)

I guess I'm deviating from the theme now, but I just love the trumpet solo. Your mind will be delighted by the music for sure.
Anyways, I guess the list should go on and on. Sometimes when I see people wearing ear plugs and listening to music, I'd be curious what they're listening to. Hope the music also makes life easier to swallow for them.
